Roegate Institute Student Orientation Guide

Roegate Institute Student Orientation Guide
Welcome to the Roegate Institute for Leadership, Management and Research.
This guide outlines the essential expectations, resources, and procedures to help you succeed in your learning journey. We are committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and empowering virtual learning environment.
1. Code of Conduct & Community Expectations
All students are expected to maintain respectful communication, professional conduct, and inclusive behaviour across all learning platforms. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or academic dishonesty will not be tolerated.
2. Academic Integrity and Assessment Guidelines
You must submit original work and credit all sources. Plagiarism or cheating in assessments will lead to disciplinary action. Refer to the Academic Integrity Policy on Moodle for detailed assessment criteria.
3. Online Learning Etiquette
Please be punctual for live sessions, keep your camera on where possible, and use the chat and mute functions appropriately. Engage respectfully and professionally in all forums and discussions.
4. Accessing Courses and Virtual Classrooms
Log in to Moodle with your assigned credentials to access course content. Live classes and meetings are hosted via Meetn or Zoom, with links shared through your course dashboard.
5. Technical Support & Learning Platforms
For technical help, contact our IT Support Team via the Help Desk on Moodle. Familiarise yourself with Moodle, Meetn, and any required apps in your welcome email.
6. Communication Channels and Office Hours
Check your course dashboard for instructor office hours. Use Moodle messages and email for academic questions, and contact the Student Success Team for non-academic concerns.
7. Complaint, Appeal, and Feedback Procedures
Students can submit formal complaints or appeals using the designated form on the Student Portal. We also welcome feedback to improve our services.
8. Mental Wellness, Inclusion, and Peer Support Resources
We provide access to mental wellness resources, peer mentors, and inclusion officers to support your wellbeing throughout your study. Confidential services are available upon request.
